Get An Authenticated Birth Certificate Online

Last week, Hec asked me a favor if I could go to NSO to get a copy of his authenticated birth certificate. To save myself from the hassle of falling in line at NSO (not to mention waking up early in the morning), I went online and applied/request for it via e-Census. It's a convenient way to apply/request for authenticated Birth Certificate, Marriage, Death Certificate and other Civil Registry Documents online.

The document arrived in the mail today. Only 2-3 business days processing. I applied for it on December 2, 2011 and paid only P315; delivered to Iloilo City.

Here's a quick tip on how to apply for birth certificate via e-Cencus:

  1. https://www.ecensus.com.ph/Secure/frmIndex.asp
  2. Click on How To Apply below (Request for copies of Birth / Marriage / Death Certificate / CENOMAR). A pop up window will appear. Read the Terms and Conditions and click the I Accept button.
  3. You will be redirected to Requester Information form, fill it up and click Submit. Get your reference/batch request number or simply print it out.
  4. Amount will be generated; the fee varies according to your location.
  5. Pay online with credit card; online banking BDO and Unionbank. No credit card? No problem. Proceed to the nearest BDO or Unionbank branches and fill up the payment slip with the info below:
  • Company/Institution Name: e-Census
  • Client Name: (Your Name/Requester's Name)
  • Reference number (Batch Request Number)
  • Amount: ex. P315.00
If you're in doubt, ask for assistance from the teller. :)

Keep your receipt, and wait for 3-5 business days for the document(s) to be delivered to your delivery address.
